Morph Match Instructions

The goal of Morph Match is to create rows or columns (a set) of three or more of the same block. This is done by clicking on a block and then clicking on an adjacent block (horizontally or vertically) to swap the two blocks. If this swap makes a set of three or more of the same block, those blocks are removed and new blocks fall from above to fill the cleared space. Points are scored for every set of blocks removed. If the newly placed blocks also create sets of three or more matching blocks, those blocks are also removed and score points.

  Swapping with Shiala block
  Matching Rif blocks removed
Upper blocks fall, then replaced with new blocks

If a set of four or more blocks is matched, an orb block appears. An orb block can be swapped with any other block. When this is done, the entire row or column from side-to-side is removed.

When enough points are scored, the level of the game increases: the board is cleared and a new collection of blocks appears. The bar in the lower-right corner keeps track of how complete the level is.

The game ends when there are no more moves; i.e., it is impossible to make a set by swapping two blocks and there are no orbs in play.

Morph Match requires a graphical web browser with Javascript. It has been tested in Firefox, Internet Explorer (6.0 or later), Safari (including the iPhone) and Opera. Sound effects not supported on iPhone.

Note: This is a beta version of the game. Improved graphics, extra game-play elements, and saving high scores are planned. If you find a bug or have a suggestion, please send us a comment.
