She was bored and wished for something to happen.
Actually, Rif was bored (at the beach, where nothing happens).  Rhene was sighing at the lack of peace and privacy.  Members of the Ferret village are rather a gregarious bunch.

Each ferret has an arm or leg while the body is allowed to drag.
The wolf cub was very, very heavy relative to the light-boned foxes and ferrets.  It took 4 to carry him, and they had trouble moving him at that.  Funny that none of these clever creatures would think to put wheels under him, or at least carry him in a sheet. ;-)

Heh! Well, I do not blame Rhene for not wanting more adventures after what happened to her in the game.  Tongue
Which explains my lack of understanding since I never saw the game.

We will eventually have a flashback about Rhene's captivity in the game, but at the appropriate point in the comic's plot.

The archives page for the strip has a short, spoiler-free summary of the game if anyone is interested.

I just read the story summary and was puzzled, (no pun intended), as to why the first-place finisher didn't go on the quest.  If I were the town's elders, the fox is the very last creature I would allow on that quest.  Though the summary said he "proved his innocence," the evidence disputes that finding.  If he were found innocent, why the hostage and why the armed escorts.  Even more unusual, if the town elders have the first-place finisher, why not draft him/her?  As far as I would be concerned, second place is dead last if I have first available.  Unless the winner has some defect that physically prohibits his participation.

Rif being drafted to find the orb makes perfect sense in the game.  Proving his innocence was the whole point of the quest.  Holding Rhene hostage and sending armed "escorts" was insurance that he would stick to the job.

I really loved the webcomic, it's very fun,

I laughed much when Rif went to the rats' cave, and found the doorkeeper (the one that Okk had to confuse) and then finds Scorry!!!!

No! Not you!!
cheesy  HAHAHA, that was awesome.

Rif lost the orb

I did NOT lose it!!
I agree that seeing that orb falling with Chota and water is a horrible sight....

I know the game for years and I know the story,
if you don't play the game, you will not understand the webcomic...

I don't think the main plot of the comic requires experience with the game.

Definitely seems to. Mind you, I read the comic first, and then played the game.

Oops. There is indeed a dining hall. I'll change the info for that storyboard.

Hi, I found the comic out of the blue yesterday and got finished with what is done so far not long ago. I normally do not take alot of interest to comics outside of the humor based ones, but I can say I really enjoy this one, excellent job on it.
