16  The Labyrinth of Time Forums / The Labyrinth of Time Bug Reports / Sound clips on: March 15, 2005, 06:32:25 PM
I just played the game (finally got in the mail! Thanks guys) from beginning to end in quick-clicking-through mode, and on several occasions thought the game had frozen up because the sound went dead at the end of sound clips.

I assume it's something that happened when you were "cleaning up" the sound? Some clips, paticularily SLIDDOOR (or whatever the sliding door sound file is, but I'm going to assume that's it), have a very long pause of silence after the actual sound.

It caused me some distress because I'm so used to the game freezing up on me from the DOS version and I was hoping so badly that this version would work flawlessly - it did, thankfully, but those make me break out cold sweat.

Not a bug as such, I s'ppose, but I felt I should mention it.

There was another sound, but I'm not sure which one it was, which has a sort of jitter to it, a break in the middle before it continues. Also a sound-effect; though I may be thinking of the silver key and the sound of the key coming out is just delayed unnaturally because of the pause after the COINSLOT (um... again, guessing - the sound that plays when you put a coin into, um, a slot rolleyes )...?

Anyway, there's quite a few sounds that are, for whatever reason, not at all giving the impression of being "cleaned up" Smiley

Also, question, was anything taken out of BACKGROU? I know I was playing through quickly and thus not paying much attention to the music, but I seem to have been missing a track... though, eh... I probably just didn't hear it. huh
17  The Labyrinth of Time Forums / The Labyrinth of Time Bug Reports / Bug in the 1950's diner? (spoiler) on: March 15, 2005, 06:20:45 PM
Part of the bug is that you can pick up the key again and again, too. I guess it's a missing if-statement/bracket?

And yes, it's definitely from the old version. I've been replaying it a lot lately, I can't complete it because it crashes when I
open the door in the cave by pushing the cart
, but the silver key thing is definitely a bug from the old game.
18  The Labyrinth of Time Forums / The Labyrinth of Time Bug Reports / Save game crash in Linux version on: March 02, 2005, 08:12:37 PM
I'm not sure this is relevant, but perhaps it will help? My old (DOS) Labyrinth game actually still runs on Windows 98 SE, however, it repeatedly crashes if I want to save or load - I can't even get to that screen. Perhaps there's some bug in that section from the old game? (...can I be any less vague? smiley )

Thanks for fixing the permissions. Smiley

Pity there's no credits, some of the tracks are really good (IMO). Well chosen, anyway. Tongue Thanks for your help!

Something I can't seem to find in the credits: Where is the game music from? huh

Also, I can't seem to post in the general Labyrinth of Time board ("Sorry, you do not have permission to start a topic in this forum"), so please excuse the post in the bug board, it's definitely not a bug... Cheesy *very much enjoys the music*

I don't know if this is a bug from the original version or something we introduced. We'll check it out. Thanks.
It's a bug from the original game.

I own the original, but I can't play it anymore because it either (1) won't run at all [crash at startup] (2) won't display the save/load screen if it does [also crash]. So I can't play it anymore, but I remember the silver key issue from when it last worked.
