Why do I feel inlined to take you seriously?

Hi, Allester, interesting take you have there.

Just for interest's sake, did you play the game? Because "furs" = "Morph", and I'm not aware of a Bat tribe?

I think the only rule is that you can't "think" on behalf of someone else, you have to stay within your POV. Might be wrong about this tho, or maybe it varies between threads.

Quote from: cairn destop
The segment about the humans establishing a base was a bit weak.  Somebody should have realized how dangerous the morphs could be if they ever acquired “modern” technology.  If anything, a responsible scientist would withdraw.

Ja hey, it doesn't look like these guys are big on the Prime Directive.

Captain: "Come, Mr. Spock, let us interfere with the politics of this planet and irrevocably change the course of their history beyond all recognition."

Mr. Spock: "Actually, Captain... the Prime Directive..."

Captain: "Drat. Oh well, then I guess it's time to break out the fursuits. We're travelling incognito..."

What, you mean I'll have to map it again? Not a chance

Your previous post, sister mine: methinks you're too young for that kind of speculation. Cool

So, you carried out your threat. Wink Well done.

The only things I'd do differently:

- The classification colour for "Normal Room" is too bright, being at a different saturation value (greyness) than all other map elements. I'd make it greyer, though not necessarily darker.
- The colour of Sist's Room is out of place. Since you must emphasise it, I'd advise you to use a more "happy colour". Brown is too somber for the map.
- The order of items in the legend (Key) is jarring. The colours don't progress from dark to light, making it a bit of an eyesore. I would rearrange the colours in order of brightness value.

And I know the blue colour scheme is an important part of the "look", but I wouldn't have restricted myself to a blue colour scheme in the first place. It doesn't leave you very much to work with. But with or without a blue colour scheme I would definitely have made the background lighter. A dark map is hard to read.

Maybe there was a rockfall or a mudslide?

Disgusting (he said hypocritically).

"Warm fuzzy feelings" from playing DOOM. Hum. Interesting.

"Eat hot lead, one-eyed scum! HAHAHAHAHAA!!! ... How tranquil, don't you think, my friends? Wait, here comes one ... DIE, DIE, DIE!!! ... I always find these afternoons of DOOM so relaxing. It gives me a warm fuzzy feeling... like mould on a fast-rotting corpse..."

Well, they're coming after him because he might have overheard them talking about their fleet (which he did).

He's hostile towards Rif and Rhene because they're mere _foxes_ and he's indebted to them...

There's one thing I was wondering, how does the continuity around Lupus' death work? He seems awfully lively when they're already far (?) from the conflict, and then he gets shot. I thought the otters would be too far away, and too busy a) boarding the wolves' ship and b) getting blown up, to manage to kill Lupus at range...

PS. I like the references (e.g. u-boat packs, Native Americans, etc.)... gives it so much more depth.

PS(2). The initial stage setting seems awfully familiar... like "Master and Commander" or the "New Worlds" webcomic or something... ?
